The decree was not written to break you; it was written to heal you and save your soul from ultimate destruction.

 الخطبة الأولى (The First Khutbah)

As-salamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh.

الحمد لله رب العالمين، والصلاة والسلام على أشرف الأنبياء المرسلين، نبينا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين. أما بعد:

My dear brothers and sisters, look me in the eyes today and let us confront the heavy shadow that paralyzes the modern human mind. It is the overwhelming, suffocating fear of the future. We live in an era where people are completely drowning in uncertainty. You open your phone, and you are immediately hit with waves of terrifying news—financial market collapses, sudden global recessions, job instabilities, soaring costs of living, and expanding health crises. We worry about our bank accounts, we stress over the safety of our children, and we lose sleep over scenarios that haven't even happened yet.

This toxic cycle of hyper-anxiety has turned millions into spiritual prisoners. We act as if the weight of the entire universe rests squarely upon our fragile shoulders. When a small trial hits our business, we fall into immediate panic. When a sudden challenge rocks our household, we behave as if our life is completely ruined. We have become hyper-dependent on our own calculations, our own bank balances, and our own strategies, completely forgetting that there is a supreme, flawless, divine pen that has already charted the course of every single atom in existence. We try to carry the burden of tomorrow with an exhausting mindset of control, leaving ourselves entirely exposed to internal collapse.

But Allah, the Sovereign Lord of the worlds, the Master of your destiny who sustained you inside your mother’s womb when you had zero control, smashes this psychological paralysis with a single, unshakeable armor of absolute certainty. He doesn't just offer us a mild comforting word; He commands a complete and radical shift in our entire psychological framework.

Turn your hearts to the ultimate shield against panic and anxiety. Listen to this definitive, rock-solid declaration that Allah commands the Prophet ﷺ and the believers to carry into the battle of life, found in  Surah At-Tawbah (9:51)

قُل لَّن يُصِيبَنَآ إِلَّا مَا كَتَبَ ٱللَّهُ لَنَا هُوَ مَوْلَىٰنَا ۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ

“Say, ‘Never will we be struck except by what Allah has written for us; He is our protector.’ And upon Allah let the believers rely.”

Let these magnificent words settle deep into the absolute core of your consciousness today. Look closely at the profound, microscopic precision of the Arabic language that Allah uses here. He does not say: illa ma kataba Allahu 'alayna—"except what Allah has written against us." No! He says: illa ma kataba Allahu lana—"except what Allah has written for us!"

Think about the staggering psychological transformation in that single word: Lana—For us. It means that for a true believer, every single thing that hits you—every financial dip, every family trial, every physical sickness, and every unexpected delay—is not a random act of cruelty from a chaotic universe. It is a custom-designed decree authored by the Most Wise, meant to elevate your rank, purify your sins, and redirect your soul to what is truly best for you. What the world labels as a catastrophe, the Quran reveals as a hidden mercy in transit!

And look at how Allah grounds this reality: Huwa Mawlana—"He is our Protector, our ultimate Guardian." A Mawla is not just a casual helper; He is the ultimate patron who takes total responsibility for your welfare, your safety, and your victory. When a tiny child is walking through a dangerous, dark neighborhood holding the hand of a massive, loving, powerful father, does that child stress over the dogs barking in the distance? Does that child lose sleep over how they will find food or shelter for the night? Absolute no! The child crosses his arms and smiles because he knows his father has total charge over the situation.

To help everyone sitting here truly comprehend this absolute freedom from anxiety, let us look at an original analogy from our daily lives. Imagine a man who is severely ill, suffering from a critical, life-threatening condition. He undergoes a complex, painful, six-hour surgery conducted by the most elite, highly decorated chief surgeon in the world—a medical expert who has a 100% success rate and loves the patient deeply.

The next morning, the patient wakes up in the recovery room. He feels a sharp, throbbing pain in his side, his body is covered in heavy bandages, and he sees blood in his medical tubes. Now, imagine if the patient starts screaming in a wild panic, crying out, "The surgeon hates me! The surgeon is trying to destroy my life! Look at this blood, look at this pain, look at these cuts!"

What would you say to that patient? You would say: "Calm down, be quiet, and trust the process! The cuts were not made by an enemy trying to murder you; they were made by a master healer trying to remove a hidden tumor that would have killed you. The bandages are there to protect you, and the pain is just a temporary phase of your ultimate recovery."

My dear congregation, Allah is Al-Hakeem—The Infinite, Ultimate Healer—and this Dunya is the operating room! We are constantly screaming and throwing panic attacks because we look at the temporary cuts of life with narrow, unawake eyes. You lose a job, your business venture collapses, or a relationship shatters, and you immediately think your life is ruined. You do not see that Allah just made a painful incision in your life to remove a toxic attachment or a hidden haram element that was actively destroying your connection to Jannah! The decree was not written to break you; it was written to heal you and save your soul from ultimate destruction.

Allah completes this formula of mental iron by delivering the ultimate action step: Wa 'ala Allahi falyatawakkalil-mu'minoon—"And upon Allah alone let the believers place their absolute reliance."

Let us leave this first part of our sermon by walking out of the prison of our own anxieties. Stop trying to micro-manage the unseen future with your weak, limited intellect. Stand up straight, drop the mental exhaustion of trying to control what you cannot control, and anchor your heart to the unshakeable certainty that your Master’s pen has already written your victory.

أقول قولي هذا وأستغفر الله لي ولكم.

الخطبة الثانية (The Second Khutbah)

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ. الحَمْدُ للهِ حَمْداً كَثِيْراً طَيِّباً مُبَارَكاً فِيْهِ كَمَا يُحِبُّ رَبُّنَا وَيَرْضَى, وَأَشْهَدُ أَنْ لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنْ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ. صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَسْلِيماً كَثِيْراً إِلَى يَوْمِ الدِّيْنِ. أَمَّا بَعْدُ:

My dear brothers and sisters, welcome back your hearts to this heavy reminder. We must understand that true Tawakkul—true reliance on Allah—is not a lazy, passive excuse to sit down, do nothing, and expect miracles to drop into your lap. Real trust in the divine decree is when your limbs are actively working, exhausting every halal means available to you, while your heart is completely still, resting in the absolute knowledge that the final result belongs entirely to Allah.

To understand the immense power of a life built upon this baseline of certainty, listen to this beautiful, soul-anchoring supporting verse from the Quran where Allah details the absolute security given to those who master this state of mind. Listen to this unshakeable guarantee found in Surah At-Talaq (65-3)

وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُۥٓ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بَٰلِغُ أَمْرِهِۦ ۚ قَدْ جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدْرًا

"And whoever relies upon Allah - then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a decreed extent."

Look at that staggering promise: Fahuwa hasbuh—He is sufficient for him! If the Almighty Creator of the heavens and the earth, the One who splits the seed under the dark soil and feeds the fish in the depths of the black ocean, becomes your sufficient defender, then who on earth can ever break you? What economic crash can destroy you? What human plot can defeat you?

Allah settles our racing minds by adding: Qad ja'ala Allahu likulli shay'in qadra—"Allah has already fixed a precise measurement, an exact timeline, and a perfect capacity for every single event in your life." Your relief has an exact second written for it; your provision has a precise delivery date stamped on it. It will not arrive a second late, and no human being can delay it by a single millimeter.

To show you how this absolute certainty transforms your psychological state from fear into complete invincibility, listen to this sharp, eye-opening authentic Hadith that strips away all worldly panic. In a powerful narration recorded by Imam at-Tirmidhi, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ turned to the young Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) and gave him a masterclass in mental strength that every single Muslim must memorize. He ﷺ said:

وَاعْلَمْ أَنَّ الأُمَّةَ لَوِ اجْتَمَعَتْ عَلَى أَنْ يَنْفَعُوكَ بِشَيْءٍ لَمْ يَنْفَعُوكَ إِلاَّ بِشَيْءٍ قَدْ كَتَبَهُ اللَّهُ لَكَ، وَلَوْ اجْتَمَعُوا عَلَى أَنْ يَضُرُّوكَ بِشَيْءٍ لَمْ يَضُرُّوكَ إِلاَّ بِشَيْءٍ قَدْ كَتَبَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ، رُفِعَتِ الأَقْلاَمُ وَجَفَّتِ الصُّحُفُ

"And know that if the entire nation were to gather together to benefit you with anything, they would not benefit you except with something that Allah had already written for you. And if they were to gather together to harm you with anything, they would not harm you except with something that Allah had already written against you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried." (Jami' at-Tirmidhi).

SubhanAllah! Read that Hadith through the lens of Surah At-Tawbah, Ayah 51. The pens have been lifted! The ink is dry! The decisions have already been settled in the heavens! If the entire global corporate system, all your competitors, and every envious person on earth gather in a single room to destroy your livelihood, they are completely powerless unless it aligns with what the King has already written for you. And if the entire world tries to hold you down, lock you out, or deny you your rights, Allah will move the mountains and split the seas to deliver your provision directly to your door the exact second it is written to arrive.

Let us radically cure our hearts of anxiety before we stand up to establish the salah today. We must stop letting the whispering trends of the Dunya break our emotional stability. When you go back to your offices, your marketplaces, and your families after this Jumuah prayer, lift the heavy burden of worry from your shoulders.

Perform your daily duties with excellence, keep your income 100% halal, and treat people with absolute justice. But inside your soul, let there be an unshakeable, silent sanctuary of peace that says: "My future is secure, my provision is written, and my Master is in total control." Live every single day under the glorious light of Surah At-Tawbah, ayah 51. Walk with the pride of a believer, trust the divine surgeon’s knife, and face the world with a strong, triumphant heart that declares to every storm: "Never will anything strike us except what Allah has authored for us; He is our supreme Protector, and upon Him alone do we place our absolute reliance."

عِبَادَ اللهِ، إِنَّ اللهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ، يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ، وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ أَجْمَعِينَ.

اللَّهُمَّ أَعِزَّ الإِسْلَامَ وَالمُسْلِمِينَ، اللَّهُمَّ أَعِزَّ الإِسْلَامَ وَالمُسْلِمِينَ، وَأَذِلَّ الشِّرْكَ وَالمُشْرِكِينَ.

اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنَا تِوَّكُلاً صَادِقاً عَلَيْكَ، وَيَقِيناً كَامِلاً بِقَضَائِكَ. اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَجْعَلْ قُلُوبَنَا أَسِيرَةً لِلْخَوْفِ وَالأَقْلَاقِ، وَاجْعَلِ القُرْآنَ العَظِيمَ رَبِيعَ قُلُوبِنَا، وَنُورَ صُدُورِنَا، وَجَلَاءَ أَحْزَانِنَا، وَذَهَابَ هُمُومِنَا وَغُمُومِنَا.

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ.

عِبَادَ اللهِ، اذْكُرُوا اللهَ العَظِيمَ يَذْكُرْكُمْ، وَاشْكُرُوهُ عَلَى نِعَمِهِ يَزِدْكُمْ، وَلَذِكْرُ اللهِ أَكْبَرُ، وَاللهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَصْنَعُونَ. أَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ.
